Our Newest Service: Slack For Motivation!

Join us this summer as we launch our newest service: a low-fee Slack channel designed to help you stay motivated and encouraged as you slog through the dog days of writing. As academic writers ourselves, we know how isolating it can feel to have to sit alone in that coffee shop and finish that lit review. We get it. That's why we created this service. And if you don't want to read through this post, just click here for a short video where we explain the details.

Pay by the week (or not! we also offer a free, unstaffed version) and think of it as a "writing sprint." This Slack channel can sit on your desktop as you write, there when you need it, quiet when you don't. And you don't even have to know how to use Slack or download the software. We'll teach you, and you can use the website if you prefer.

Our Quick Brown Fox Slack channel is populated by other academic writers who are trying to get their work done and need to be able to take small breaks throughout the day. Pop in and out as it's convenient for you. There are no rules here; only colleagues who are in the same situation as you.

QBF staff will be live a minimum of 3 hours a day in various U.S.-based time zones during weekdays to answer questions, make suggestions, cheer you on and inspire you to get through that next paragraph or section of whatever it is that you need to get done yesterday. We've all been there, done that. We know how hard it is to do it alone. And now, you don't have to!

Details: click here to sign up. We will officially begin our staffing of this channel on Monday, June 18th at 8am PDT/11am EDT. Once you're signed up, you'll need to create a Slack account if you don't yet have one. Our channel will be located at https://qbfconsulting.slack.com/ where you will be able to join the paid #writing-support channel to participate.

Or, if you want to join a free, unstaffed version of the channel, just send us a quick email with your info and we'll add you. That's it!
